Seductress from Bond film to act in Bollywood

Italian actress Caterina Murino, who played the sexy seductress Solange in ‘Casino Royale’, will reportedly act in a Bollywood movie.The Bond bombshell was approached by director Anubhav Sinha for an item number in his latest movie Cash .But Sinha then had a change of mind. Instead of an item song, he decided to cast Caterina in a full-fledged role in his next movie Chase .‘Chase’ would be an out-and-out action flick to be shot in Italy.Since the movie’s story is set in Italy, Sinha thought about roping in Caterina to play a spunky Italian girl in the film.

Caterina’s tryst with showbiz began with beauty pageants in 1996. She studied drama and acted in a number of plays before beginning her television career in 2002. Thereafter, she acted in a number of Italian films. But it was her role in ‘Casino Royale’ in 2006 that brought her international recognition.Now a plum role in a Bollywood film will make her famous in this part of the world.Anubhav Sinha plans to cast three newcomers in the film. He is himself said to be grooming these actors.
